Well now, this is what I call a sequel! Seriously, it just might be the best sequel I’ve read in a YA series as of lately!! I was totally and completely into this book, I didn’t get up once from my reading spot while reading this little baby right here. I was so hooked it was ridiculous!

Admittedly, my nerd-er side might have been shining through the whole time. Where book #1 was fun and had a fresh take on mythology and modern times mixing, this book was an awesome take on Greek gods conflict and character, and the tension between characters and the whole plot was absolutely amazing! Yeah, you heard it, amazing!

Let me begin by emphasizing this: thank God the author was brave enough to actually grasp a real sense of a real relationship between her MC and Henry!! I mean, it was ridiculously gripping and totally real to read about them and their relationship, it evolved and grew like a normal relationship would, it deepened and grew more layered and complex. And it was simply amazing to read about.

The plot was more intense and more tense then book #1, and to me this makes perfect sense. The boom! effect in any series should always be the latest book out, you know what I mean? Don’t try to capitalize on your readers loyalty for the previous book in your series, smack them full-face with even more awesomeness and seduce them all over again, you know?
Wow. Just wow. Aimee Carter, I can’t wait to read more by you!

The writing is as awesome as it was in the first book, only with this more awesome and complex plot it shined more in my opinion. There’s nothing that will make your skills shine like a really juicy plot and when you have awesome characters already you can only go for the wow! factor, and this book certainly achieved that.

If you’ve read book #1 of this series you totally have to read this one! If you didn’t, read it so you can read this one, seriously, this was totally entertaining, juicy and tense and romantic but full of action and adventure!
Must read, definitely going on my most loved mythology-revamped top reads.
