It was fun reading these two short stories. I am still in a phunk about reading adventure/fantasy though, so I didn’t get really excited, honestly.
The first story was less engaging for me then the second. I’ll be really honest about it, when I was done reading the first I had this sort of odd unfinished feeling, like maybe I’d missed a little clue or something. I don’t know how to put it, it felt like the “Bam!” wasn’t in there, like the story could and should have gone on to make some bigger point or something.
The second story was more pleasant for me, it was cute and it made its point in a quick and lovely way. I can safely say I enjoyed it considerably more then the first, I finished reading it with a smile on my face.
They’re both set in a high-fantasy world, with nice characters and interesting stories, if you like the type, give it a shot, it’s a cool read.
