Source: review copyWritten in verse, this is the previously untold story of the previously unknown 8th dwarf, named Creepy. He is banished to the basement for being different and, well, weird. Yet he plays a vital – and of course previously unknown – role in the popular tale of Snow White – whose title character is an intruder Creepy refers to as “the Maid”.

World Building: We’re dealing with the Snow White story but told from the POV of an eighth dwarf, though this is a short read so the world isn’t that focused on.
Characters: Funny, but again, there’s not a lot of focus on the ones we know. The one we meet now, Creepy, was a fun spin and a fun voice to read.
Plot: The addition of Creepy to the story doesn’t really change the plot of Snow White, but it’s not her story, it’s Creepy’s. It was interesting to read, and it made me giggle a couple of times.
Writing: Well done storytelling in verse, I enjoyed it.
Curb Appeal: The cover and blurb would get me curious, I’d be tempted to skim through it if I could.
Overall, this a fun read, but not something I much enjoy on a regular basis. I’ve labeled this as a YA because the author did so mainly, and because there was some kissing and whatnot in the short retelling, but without that reference this is a read I’d say is fit for kids really, the type of rhymes and the tone of it are fit for kids while some of Creepy’s particulars are more of a YA read I guess. It’s an interesting experiment, and it made me giggle a couple of times.

Books in verse are not something I’d normally read, but this sounds kind of funny. 😀
Yeah, that’s how I feel as well, but it was funny 😀
