His rival’s in his bed, and this rocker is ready to play.
Former rivals Quinn Bradford and Elise McKinney are not friends, at least not anymore. As teens, all they cared about was psyching each other out before concerts. But when Quinn—now the keyboardist for Shaken Dirty, the hottest rock band on the scene—returns to his hometown and hears about the car accident that shattered Elise’s career, he’s determined to make things right.
Elise wants nothing to do with an arrogant rock star, despite how bad she so clearly wants him, so Quinn kidnaps the stubborn little piano player and whisks her back to his mansion. A little seduction might be just the thing to keep Elise under his care…and in his bed. But amid pranks both childish and very adult, their past comes rearing back to haunt them. And it might be more than either of them can forget
The very first Tracy Wolff book I ever read was Ruined, and lemme tell you to this day I freaking love it. I couldn’t put it down, it made me cry in a good AND bad way and I get bees in my stomach when I think about it and what could possibly be in its sequel. So, of course after reading that AMAZING book, I had to read more of her works!
And while I probably should have read the first book in this series, I will say that YES!!! I think Tracy might have found another life long fan. Totally different than Ruined, Drive Me Crazy is sexily humorous and totally absorbing.
And yes, when I say humorous, you WILL laugh your pants off people. I received quite a few odd looks from randomly laughing in public places while reading this. This book is for the keyboardist Quinn and the lovely lady Elise, who I think might be my favorite pairing.
And just to back track a little, while I did not read the first book (and I want to, bad), I was lost only a little bit at the beginning when it came to band stuff, but other than that it focused more on the couple so it could possibly be read as a standalone.
Quinn is, of course, yummy! And while Im a huge rock fan, I really have never heard of a keyboardist being in a rock band (except in Queen of the Damned, but dont get me wrong, thats something special). Hes totally badass, driving a motorcycle and the devotion he has?? — yep! I want him!
Elise is a pretty strong character all in herself. I liked her a lot, and I liked the relationship that she and Quinn have and develop in the story. They prank each other, are steamy in bed, she doesn’t bash his head in when he kidnaps her (I’m not sure if that’s a spoiler??).
The secondary characters are absolutely amazing and just add to the story line, and the humor of course. This book isn’t one of her more serious ones, but don’t underestimate it!
Its a big roller coaster that you just don’t want to get off of, and when you get to the end, you wish it was longer. I also wish that there might have been a bit more drama. I was expecting to get my heart ripped out (it wasn’t, just crushed a bit). But all in all, this story was FANTASTIC, and I will continue my love affair with Tracy Wolff books and this series.
I totally recommend that you check her out! Shes one of those hidden treasures, like Trisha Wolfe 😀
