The second installment in the Only series. Must read book one first!!
First loves never die but Grayson Ford comes close. Bleeding out in a war zone, he barters with God. Bring him back alive, and he’ll make it right with his girl.
All I want is Emma. I need her, and I fight for her memory. A story. A smile. Anything. But it’s all blank .
Emma is not his girl anymore. Time has skipped by and life’s been hard. She strips to pay the bills, waitresses to fill the hours between classes and her third job. All while working to be the best mama she can be to the little girl who will never know her daddy. Even though Grayson abandoned her, she mourned his death. Until he calls, and everything she knew was wrong.
It’s him. The him that ruined my life. That made my life. That confused my mind to the point that I can’t figure out if I’ve been destroyed or set free. The him that… is… dead.
He’s back with one objective–Emma Kingsley–and she never sees it coming.
This continuation was so good! Ohmygoodness! The FEELS about killed me. I was having crazy mood swings! Completely swinging from one end of the spectrum to the other. From swooning then on to heartache in the span of a page. This story takes place in the present and is from Grayson and Emma’s points of view. This is the second novella in the Only series and will not make sense unless you read the first.
I just have to say Emma is amazing. This novella sheds a good amount of light on what Emma is going through in her day to day life. I admire Emma so much! She has gone through craziness and has come out the other side still the same sweet person that she has always been. She is the epitome of a hard working mama and still tries to be the best mother she can be for her little girl.
Grayson is a man on a mission in this novella and I love it! He is taking everything head on and not worrying about his hang ups. I’m sure there is going to come a time where he is faced with his disorder but I’m sure that nothing will stand in his way on making his past wrong doings right. I love how Grayson is so in love with Emma. He is such a good book boyfriend!
Their dynamic was killer. Even after all these years it’s like life never happened and they are picking up where they left off. Their love for each other is so deep and wholesome and pure, it’s great to read! I will really be pissed off if these two do not have a happily ever after, after all is said and done. I know they have will have their share of hardships together but I hope it just ends up making them stronger!
If you are going to jump on this bandwagon make sure you are in a room alone so you can squeal and yell and swoon all without people giving you crazy eyes! I am certainly thrilled with this installment in the series and I cannot wait to read the rest! The cliff hanger was ridiculous though! So if you hate cliffhangers I would probably wait until the majority of the novellas are out so you can binge on the series!!
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
