One boy. Mother calls him Hansel.
One girl. Mother named her Gretel.
Locked in little rooms, in the mountainside mansion of a crazy woman.
Until he saws a hole into the wall dividing them.
Then at least, they have each other’s hands.
It doesn’t end well at Mother’s house.
    Everything gets…broken.
Ten years later, they meet again in an exclusive Vegas sex club.
    Whips.
    Chains.
And most of all, a mask.
What happens to love when it gets twisted?
Fairy tales are cautionary tales, remember?

    Review

I’ve read Ella James before, and she doesn’t disappoint in romance. Her story lines were a bit lacking, but would still absorb you and make you want to read more. Well, I wasn’t disappointed with this one!
From the beginning I was gripped and pulled into this re-telling of Hansel and Gretel. It was unlike any fairy tale re-telling that I have read, and there are still about 3 more books in this series to read.

It all starts out with a slight mystery, and throughout the short story, it gives you hints a clues about what the main characters suffered through. By the end of the book, it’s revealed, but that doesn’t mean that it’s over there. The first book mostly explains how the main female lead, Leah, is put into the situation, and OMG I can’t wait to see what the main male lead, Hansel (no, that’s not his real name, but it’s what Leah mostly calls him so it’s kinda stuck in my head), was put through to make him this sexy, totally dominate male the way he is.

The sex is hot (though as an erotica, there honestly wasn’t much) and I just couldn’t help but cheer and hope for Leah and Hansel. As a dual POV story, it was one of the best I have read so far and I cannot wait to get my hands on the others.
