Fate took Cassandra down a path she never expected.
Then a small town in Colorado gave her exactly what she needed—until tragedy left her heartbroken and devastated. Alone with only her child and her memories, Cassie struggled to put her life back together, one day at a time, piece by piece. Finding love again was something she never thought possible. That was, until she ran into an unlikely stranger who flipped her entire world on its axis.
Aidan had a secret locked away in his heart; one that would surely send Cassie running the second she discovered it. He held onto her closely and kept his secret guarded, but one careless mistake could reveal all.
Their friendship was strong, their moments beautiful, and the love that brewed between them intense—something neither denied. The only problem? Cassie was slowly letting him into her life. Could she let herself get close to the one person she didn’t think she should?
Her mind tells her to run, but her heart tells her to stay.
Seriously this book had me bawling!!! I probably used at least two rolls of toilet paper and a good number of shirts to mop up my tears! The letters, letters, letters!!!! Just read this book and you’ll know what I mean! *winks* Not everyone can say that a follow up novel is better than the first but honestly this novel really is. This is the second novel in the Keaton series and cannot be read as a standalone.
There were so many damn feels in this story. I loved it and hated it! Cassie, Cassie, Cassie! She turns into such a selfless person in this story. She was a good mama and a live saving addition to the Bradley family. Cassie really tried to give the benefit of the doubt to everyone in this second novel. She tried to see the best in them as well as hope for the best. She did aggravate me a little in terms of her being scared about pursuing a new relationship but eventually I understood where she came from.
Oh God Aidan was just phenomenal!! I loved loved loved Jason but Aidan was just so freaking amazing and so caring about everyone even when people weren’t that way towards him. He was the older brother that people would kill for and a friend, protector, and boyfriend people would be lucky to have. He was honestly the perfect fit for Cassie and I loved how he loved Jase too!
This story was ridiculously emotional but a kind that was really really good. I do have to say that the way author let it be known that Aidan and Cassie were really meant to be together was awesome! I loved how Jason and Cassie’s love wasn’t belittled or made out to be less but was shown as a relationship that the characters in the story didn’t shy away from or not talk about.
All in all I didn’t expect to love these characters the way that I do! I’m so happy that I got to go on this roller coaster ride of ups and downs but ultimately arrive at a love even death couldn’t stop. So if you’re in the mood for an extremely emotional read that will have you on the edge of your seat come on and find out why Stay is all you need to do!! 🙂
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
