A moment in time, that’s all it took. Beauty, pain and tragedy.
Xander “Pretty Boy” Todd was a demon in the ring. A professional MMA fighter with a career that had the world a buzz—but now it’s gone. Or is it?
Eden Sommers had her dreams of an international modelling career within her grasp—and lost it. Gone within a few seconds, leaving nothing but pain.
How do you go on, when the one thing that defines you is suddenly ripped away—only to leave scars and a hollow shell in its place? Has the beauty gone forever? Or has it just retreated—to now be hidden, and dormant; guarded by the inner demons?
Can these two wounded souls find the inner strength to fight back the demons together and find the beauty in their lives once again?
To do this, they must first accept—The hardest demons to defeat are the ones inside. They’ll have to be BRAVE.
This story was so good! I enjoyed these characters, the message, and the plot! I love me some MMA alpha fighters and Xander was no exception. He wasn’t the usual cocky, self absorbed MMA fighter but oh so much more! Eden, the heroine, was just an absolute sweetheart and a big reason why I loved the novel!
Eden Sommers was wandering through life, a shell of her former self. Her dreams were ripped right out of her grasp by a terrible tragedy that left her physically and emotionally scarred. Until one day Xander Todd walked in and reached out his hand to meet her. From then on it was whirlwind romance. But not only do they have to deal with Eden’s demons, they have to deal with Xander’s as well. Can they prove to everyone that they are meant to be? Or will their own demons rise up and consume them?
Xander “Pretty Boy” Todd is no stranger to pain. Waking up and training all day, every day has hardened his muscles and honed his focus but none of that can chase out his demons of the past. But he has always had one shining light in his life, Eden Sommers, even if she didn’t know it. Finally after seeing her for the first time in almost twelve years, Xander takes a leap of faith and introduces himself. He could have never know how his life was about to turn upside down or how deeply he could love another person. But he also couldn’t have realized that to help Eden face her personal demons, he would have to come face to face with his own.
I loved Eden and Xander’s relationship. Honestly there was no ex drama or unnecessary drama that they drew up themselves. They were honest and pushed through any problems that were thrown at them! There were sweet to each other and pushed each other to be a better version of themselves.
All in all this was a fantastic motivating story on overcoming your past and demons. As well as opening yourself up to love and not making decisions about people before you get to know them. Xander and Eden were an awesome couple and I can’t wait to see new snippets about them in the future! I’m so excited that this series is continuing and is going to feature Xander’s best friend, Dane, next!!! If you’re ready for a heartwarming novel with a sexy alpha hero and a heroine that comes into her own, come and check out what it means to be Brave!!!
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
