What can be said about Josh Brewster? Nothing good, that’s for sure. Just ask anyone. They’ll be quick to tell you. Josh is a selfish, sweet-talking manipulator who will charm you in a minute, all the while planning his next move. He uses. He leaves. All Josh desires is things that come easy. Why actually work hard for something when you don’t have to?
When Josh comes to face to face with a girl who’s doesn’t make anything easy, Josh begins questioning the game he’s played so long. He’s suddenly eager to learn how to work for something he never imagined wanting. Can a player really change his ways? Better yet, will his past forgive?
Aidan Turner has had a rough life, a life that has only become harsher as he’s gotten older. The scars across his face serve as a constant reminder of the haunting nightmares from his past life. Seeing himself as nothing but a monster, Aidan believes no one will ever be able to look past his flaws.
His reasoning is about to change when his very own beauty comes barreling in, sparking emotions he’d thought he’d never feel. Love sizzles between them, but his friendship with another girl complicates everything, especially after the nature of their friendship becomes confused. Will friendship overshadow his true feelings and ruin both couples’ chances at happiness?

    Fluttering Thoughts:

Worldbuilding: This story takes place in downtown Philadelphia. Also, while all the characters are college age, not all of them go to college!
Characters: There were four main characters in this novel; Josh, Aidan, Becca, and Jordyn. All the characters were vastly different and I really enjoyed that. Josh is your typical man whore, he does what he wants and who he wants without a single thought of consequence. Aidan is a tortured soul with a dark past. He wants love but doesn’t think anyone would take a chance to look past his scars to get to know everything he has to offer. Becca has been hurt before and refuses to go down that road again. The last thing she needs is for her attraction to this rich spoiled brat to take her heart hostage. And lastly, Jordyn, is perfect. She has the perfect life, clothes, attitude, and family. But lately something is missing. She wants to see the beauty in a flaw and she finally gets her wish when she meets her prince for the first time.
Plot: This novel really focuses on each couple and the problems that they need to overcome to make their relationship work. In the beginning, Part One to be exact, it seemed like all of the characters were really interwoven and the “stories” were just one big story. In Part Two the stories seemed to separate and become more about each couple individually.
Writing: This writing style was a different one. First it was broken into Part One and Part Two. It’s told from alternating points of view of all of the main characters. Part One alternates between Josh and Aidan, and Part Two alternates between Becca and Jordyn. It is also told in first person point of view.
Curb Appeal: After reading the story I’m actually kind of surprised at the cover choice. I like it, don’t get me wrong, but I expected it to show all the characters. If not at least pertain more to the story because I can’t relate the story to the cover all that much. The blurb is what definitely drew me in when I first read it! It doesn’t tell you that you’re getting the girls’ points of view but it’s a definite surprise/treat!!
Ultimately: This was an interesting and entertaining story about opening oneself up to the possibility that love does exist. And that you are worthy of it no matter what your circumstances are. There was a lot of unnecessary drama that the girls created and some scenes were told abruptly but besides those things, I wholly enjoyed it! If you’re in the mood for a multi-pov contemporary romance, I’d say come and find out why Flaw isn’t really a flaw at all!!!

"I read so I can live more than one life in more than one place." - Anne Tyler
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
