Not many Scorpio’s are known for their patience, and Willow Haywood is no different. Her only desire is to love Landen Chambers and redeem the lost souls of Esterious, but the path to that desire is long, dark and dangerous…
Before Willow’s life had a chance to balance the sudden revelations and grief she had to endure to get to Chara a disturbing discovery is made. A photo, one that shows Willow blissfully embracing the flawless image of Drake Blakeshire; giving her not only proof that she had lived before, but that she had loved him.
Running away from the memory of Drake’s hypnotizing touch, and the prophecy set before her seemed like the logical thing to do. That is, until a dark dream reignites her passion to save the hopeless dimension of Esterious. Willow struggles to find patience – to learn everything she needs to know before she faces Drake again, but her eagerness is dangerous and one step in the wrong direction takes everything and everyone away from her – the only way to survive this trial is for Willow to remember who she is and what she really wants out of this life.
This was such a good instalment in the Insight series!! I wasn’t sure what to expect in this story but boy it did have some interesting twists and turns! Willow and Landen pulled me into their world again and left me craving their next book. This story is the second novel in the Insight series and cannot be read as a standalone.
Willow and Landen start on their second trial in this story. Not only do they have to worry about going against Drake and Donalt, the Ruler of Esterious, they have to learn more about their powers. I very much enjoyed the way they learned about their new powers and how they taught their families and anyone else who wanted to know as well. Even though they are young they have tons of wisdom and really try to listen to all the advice everyone gives them.
The action part of this novel was awesome! I didn’t realize that this story was going to have these crazy twists and turns! I loved each dramatic twist and it was really hard for me to put the story down for any length of time. I really just can’t wait to see what each new book is going to bring to the plot and how the characters evolve. The challenges not only take Willow and Landen, to be resolved, but their families as well. I love how everyone is incredibly selfless in this series. Everyone is always doing everything they can for other people and that’s just fantastic to read.
Drake, Drake, Drake! Honestly, this story, in my opinion, showed me a different side of Drake, and my heart ached for him!! I am really, really hoping that he gets his own novel, which is from his point of view, and that he finds his happily ever after!!! He is a villain that you love to hate but then one that you start to love.
Ultimately this series is so different but yet so captivating! I love the messages of love, happiness, and peace throughout the universe. I love all of the characters especially Libby and Preston, and I really hope that we get to read how they evolve together! All in all if you’re in the mood for a sweet romance that has some awesome twists and action come check this series out, seriously, you won’t regret it!!
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
