She’s locked up tight. But he might be the key.
Logan Reed is tall, tatted and tempting. Kit’s a woman with a mean right hook and a secret.
Kit wants a tattoo, but Logan sees more than she intends to share in the drawing of the tat she wants. He sees her in ways no one ever has.
Logan’s not disabled; but he hasn’t spoken in eight years. He hasn’t needed to. Until he meets Kit.
Logan doesn’t know everything about Kit. Kit doesn’t know anything about herself, until she has to sacrifice all she ever wanted to save what’s most important to him.
Worldbuilding: This story is set in Manhattan and ended up being a little bit darker than I was anticipating.
Characters: The main characters in this novel were Logan and Kit aka Emily. Logan went deaf at thirteen and stopped talking then soon after. He helps take care of his brothers and himself by working in their tattoo parlor. He could have never known that his whole life was about to be turned inside out when Kit walked through the door. Kit aka Emily is, technically, on the run. She disappeared from her old life and has no intention of ever returning. Unfortunately the heart wants what it wants and Emily willingly sacrifices her own happiness to help Logan’s family. Emily ended up being a really great heroine and I loved how she opened her heart to Logan and his family.
Plot: There were a good amount of different situations going on in this one story. There is the unknown reason as to why Emily is homeless. How Logan’s brother’s condition is worsening. And of course the romance brewing between Emily and Logan.
Writing: This story was told in first person points of view of both Logan and Emily. The chapters where laid out a little differently in the sense that instead of chapters the author just alternated Logan and Emily’s points of view.
Curb Appeal: I love the cover! I definitely think that it captures Logan and Emily to a T. The blurb is initially what got me interested in the story in the first place and after reading the story I can say that the blurb totally did the story justice! Although since the story does end on a cliffhanger, that aspect would have been nice to know about going into the story.
Ultimately: This was a fantastic and heartbreaking story!! I ugly cried a few times but I always take that as a sign of a well written novel! In the end if you are in the mood for a tear-jerker that has an incredibly selfless heroine, come and find out why Logan is Tall, Tatted, and Tempting!!!
