MY HERO, MY RUIN, MY RECKLESS TEMPTATION…
I almost landed in my stepbrother’s bed, and I want it to happen again.
I’m too good for him. He’s too crude for me. Fantasy is where this twisted thing should end.
Chris Cleveland tempts me because he’s wrong. Swoon-worthy, all-American Navy SEAL. Bad boy. Manwhore.
I didn’t know he was off limits the night we got hot and heavy. I didn’t know our folks were hitched.
Hell, I definitely didn’t know I could ever want what I’m not supposed to have this badly, and one more smirk of his devilish lips just might bring me to my knees…
There’s a lot I don’t know anymore.
And he’s about to teach me.
Love’s a goddamned joke. I bed women between missions and rock their worlds with military precision. I never taste, touch, or tease the same chick twice.
Get in, get out, and leave her a breathless mess always worked flawlessly – until Cordelia.
I can’t pry my perfect new stepsister out of my skull. I’ve never wanted to corrupt a girl so bad. She’s my new target, my conquest, my obsession.
Lucky I’m a SEAL. Losing isn’t in my blood.
But Delia’s already lost, and her panties are about to be in flames.
Worldbuilding: This story takes place in California then jets off to Vegas! There is some time spent in North Korea and then it’s back to the states again. I did like the fact that the characters didn’t stay in one place the whole novel.
Characters: The main characters in this story were Cordelia and Chris. Delia is the wholesome good girl. Never wants to go against her father and not one to easily give up what is precious to her: her V card. That is until the foul mouthed, gorgeous, Navy SEAL drops into her life. Their connection is instantaneous and a little insane. Can she keep her cool when she finds out that he is her new stepbrother or will she crack and keep her distance from him forever? Chris is a badass. Not only does he serve his country but he has the art of bedding girls and getting out down to a science. He’s the love ‘em and leave ‘em type of guy until he meets the perfect girl on the beach one night. All of his fantasies are rolled into one when he looks at her and touches her but it all goes to hell in a handbag when she turns out to be his new stepsister. But he’s never been one to follow what’s proper and right. He isn’t going to stop until he gets what he wants, because he is after all a SEAL.
Plot: This was the typical stepbrother romance that has been blowing up the reader-sphere lately. I did like that it was different in the sense that it had a military theme thrown in as well. But I really could have done without the crappy parents that seem to always come with these types of books.
Writing: This story was told in first person points of view of both Chris and Delia. I enjoyed having both Chris and Delia’s points of views but it killed me that there were no transitions in the whole book. It was really hard to go from one scene to the next without a space in the paragraphs or the little *** to show that the next day or scene was happening or what have you.
Curb Appeal: The cover is super-hot and definitely caught my eye when I first browsed the story! The blurb is spot on with both of the characters. It really shows how both of them think and act throughout the novel.
Ultimately: This is another stepbrother romance that I enjoyed! Chris was a whole lot more rough around the edges for me in terms of always have a cocky, somewhat dirty attitude throughout the whole book. He never really seemed to be able to be vulnerable and relaxed. All in all if you are in the mood for a super filthy, sexually explosive stepbrother romance that has a ridiculously hot Navy SEAL as the main star then come check out Stepbrother UnSEALed!
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
