One girl. Two wolves. Promised to one. Destined for the other.
To escape the cruel, overbearing, Kade, the Yukon Pack alpha she’s been promised to, Bailey Whitehill flees her home in search of a new life, one of freedom where she can make her own choices. However, Kade will stop at nothing to make her his and begins the hunt.
As Bailey starts her new life, everything she’s known to be true, is not. Time is of the essence and choices have to be made or consequences suffered. Not only does Bailey fear Kade, but another danger lurks deep in the recesses of the forest. Unbeknownst to her, that danger is what she’s been searching for all along. At the turn of the moon, her fate hangs in the balance . . . and it’s up to her to make the right choice.
Worldbuilding: This story takes place in Canada and the United States. The characters travel between the two, but then finally settle in the United States.
Characters: Bailey and Ryker were the main characters in this novel. Bailey has been given to a man whose middle name is cruel. But Bailey is a rare female alpha and she will not be bartered and traded like some prize winning cow. She disappears and stumbles into what could be a magical future. But will her betrothed let her go so easily? Ryker has known his fated mate all his life but she was taken away before he could approach her. Will fate be so kind as to drop her in his lap without a hitch? Or will something sinister come their way and interrupt their happily ever after, forever?
Plot: This story moves superfast!! I felt like there was a lot of action and issues going on and the story went on without a lull at all. There was a good amount of story arcs. There was of course the romance between Ryker and Bailey, the suspense and mystery arc about Bailey’s past, and the story definitely set the stage for other couples and their issues to come in the later books.
Writing: This novel is told in first person points of view of Bailey and Ryker, although Bailey’s point of view was featured more than Ryker. I kind of wished Ryker had more say in the novel but honestly most of the action happened to Bailey.
Curb Appeal: I love the cover! Even though it doesn’t show the paranormal aspect of the book that much, I do really like the models and the smoky haze it has going on. The blurb totally reeled me in! The blurb it kind of scared me because I thought there might be a love triangle but despite what the blurb states, there is NO love triangle!!
Ultimately: This was a quick and action packed werewolf novel that I enjoyed. I was intrigued by a number of secondary characters so hopefully this author continues this series and we get to see their stories unfold! All in all if you are in for a dense action novel that has some hot loving thrown in come and check out Turn of the Moon!
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
