Gregoire has spent centuries with his brother Guardians fighting for the safety and security of the Realms. Endless decades of battling mixed with bouts of mindless sex to sate his needs. Needs that haven’t truly been fulfilled since she was born. The one destined to be his bonded mate. For the last twenty five years Gregoire has kept his distance giving her time to grow into a female who is capable of handling his intense dominance.
Alyssa has done everything that was expected of her, until the day she finds out she has a mate who has left her unclaimed. Unheard of when mates are rare and coveted. Even worse is the fact that he is the most powerful of her race and a Guardian of the Realms. Furious at the rejection she decides she is now in charge of her life. No more will she allow others to rule her.
Against the backdrop of evil forces that are conspiring to topple the Realms, can Gregoire find his wayward mate before she is taken by corrupt Immortals? Can Alyssa forgive him and learn to exert her own female power while surrendering to his savage passion? And will the two of them be able to forge a mate bond that cannot be severed… or will they be forever cursed with an Ecstasy Unclaimed?
Warning: Dirty talking, possessive alpha male; scenes of sexual exhibition; an instance of f/f; spankings and more.

    Fluttering Thoughts:

Worldbuilding: This story takes place more in the Tetartos Realm, at the Guardian’s Compound and the city of Lofodes. It was cool to see the different cities in the Immortal Realm and getting introduced to more species of Immortals!
Characters: The main characters in this novel were Gregoire and Alyssa. Gregoire has gone through the worst situations fighting alongside his brothers but has miraculously come out the other side. And after he finds his mate he wants nothing more than to claim her and get rid of the empty feeling he’s been feeling since he saw her. But he doesn’t want to be greedy and claim her before she is ready. Alyssa has always followed her parents rules and ultimately felt like an outsider to her species because of her small size when she shapeshifts. But when she finds out that she has a mate that hasn’t claimed her for the past five years, she is humiliated and devastated. But just because she might be a little Hippeus, aka half warhorse, that doesn’t mean she’s going to accept this fate. I really liked the fact Alyssa held her own against Gregoire for the most part. She didn’t let him get away with his actions and ended up being an awesome feisty heroine!!
Plot: This was the one time that I had a problem with the romance between the hero and heroine. Gregoire found out his mate was Alyssa when she was born. But stayed away until she reached her majority at age twenty. Then granted her father five more years so she could mature. And during that time he was able to have sex with whomever he chose but Alyssa was continually kept away from other immortals and kept pure. She was able to have some experiences on her own after the fact but the whole idea that he can get his and she can’t just rubbed me wrong. There was also a continued subplot of Erik and Sam from the first novel, which I was so glad to read!!!
Writing: This story was told in first person points of view of both Gregoire and Alyssa. There were also some chapters that had the bad guy’s point of view, Cyril, but those were few and far between. Like with the first novel, Erik and Sam’s point of view was included as well and I loved having their story continued!!!
Curb Appeal: The cover is ridiculously eye catching!!! I love that this cover is keeping the theme with the first novel. The blurb summarizes the story in a nutshell! It describes the hero and heroine completely and really gets their personalities across!!
Ultimately: This novel was a great addition to the Guardians of the Realms series! I love that we get not only one but two romance stories and a long running underlining plot of the bad guy!! I’m really intrigued as to where this series is going to go after the ending I just read but I can’t wait for the ride!! If you are in the mood for a super-hot and intense alpha male that is extremely possessive of his feisty female then come check out Ecstasy Claimed!!!!

I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on.
