There’s one must-have toy this Christmas, and Neala Clarke has told her niece Charli she’ll get it for her. Never mind that she’s got less than a week and it looks like everywhere is sold out. She’s promised Charli a Fire Princess doll—and Neala is a woman of her word.
Darcy Hart is a people-pleaser. So when his adorable six-year-old nephew, Dustin, asks for a particular doll at the last minute, he says yes. Luckily for Darcy, there’s one left in stock at the local toy store. Unluckily for Darcy, he’s not the only person who wants it—and his rival is the one woman who’s immune to his charms.
Neala and Darcy have loved to hate each other since they were kids, and they’re both willing to do whatever it takes to get that doll. This can’t possibly end well for both of them…can it?
Revised edition: This edition of Frozen includes editorial revisions.
Worldbuilding: This novel takes place in Dublin, Ireland! I absolutely love that L.A. Casey’s books take place in Ireland and that all the characters talk with an Irish accent, it’s just so damn fun!
Characters: The main characters in this novel are Darcy Hart and Neala Clarke. These two have hated each other ever since they were 10 years old and for the past 15 years their animosity has only grown, but so has their attraction to one another! This Christmas everything will come to ahead but will they emerge from the wreckage changed and happy? Or will they remain steadfast in their hatred of each other? Darcy and Neala were so freaking hilarious that I wish I could’ve read all the past pranks that they’ve done to one another!!! Peeing yourself from laughing so hard and so many times is a real possibility with this novel so you guys have been warned!!!
Plot: This is one of the best love/hate romances I have ever read! The pranks were hilarious and so much fun!! I like that there was a back story given as to why they hated one another and how both of their families were super meddling in their lives!
Writing: This novel was told in first person points of view of Darcy and Neala as well as past/present points of view.
Curb Appeal: This cover speaks for itself! The animosity leaps off of the cover and within the first couple of pages in the book! The blurb gives you just a tiny, tiny taste of the funny and the downright dirty ploys that happen in this novel!! Honestly I have to say the blurb doesn’t do the story justice so please just dive into this story ready to have an awesome time!!
Ultimately: I’m so sad that this is a standalone novel!! These characters gave me such a good time that I feel like this is a story that I will revisit time and time again! All in all, if you are in the mood for a love hate romance that has the best pranks and a hero and heroine that won’t go down without a fight then come check out Frozen!!!
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
