    Fluttering Thoughts:

Worldbuilding: This story takes place in and around a trailer park in Century, Florida
Characters: The main characters are Parker and Kylee. Parker and Kylee are twins that are just trying to survive their shitty situation. Parker is deaf while Kylee is blind. Parker sacrifices a lot so he and his sister can have the basics like food, water, clothes, and shelter. But not everyone can understand their close relationship let alone their disabilities. Unfortunately, the older they get the harder it is to not cross that boundary line that could ultimately spell their downfall. Or could it? Finding any sort of comfort is a luxury for them and even one they would kill for. Can they make it a few more months until graduation or will someone try to get in their way and tear their world apart?
Plot: This story above all else is about surviving and loss of innocence in a way. These kids would have never fallen into this sort of downward spiral if they were given the type of parents or care givers that they deserved.
Writing: This story is told in first person point of view of Parker. I liked that we saw everything from his point of view but it would have been really great to have Kylee’s as well, especially the tragic end parts.
Curb Appeal: This cover for this specific story is such a juxtaposition in my opinion. The cover is sweet and innocent looking while this story is gritty, heart rending, and ultimately taboo. The blurb gives the low down on the characters and what sort of direction the story will be going in.
Utlimately: This was a pretty intense story for only being five chapters long. It was left on a sort of open ended ending so there definitely could be a full length novel about these character’s journey and I think that would be fantastic! All in all, if you are in the mood for a sister and brother duo that would do anything for each other then come check out their Trailer Park Eden!!
