Dark Alpha’s Demand (Reaper #3)
There is no escaping a Reaper. I am an elite assassin, part of a brotherhood that only answers to Death. And when Death says your time is up, I am coming for you…
My secret is an ancient one. I exist to exact vengeance on the Fae for their wrongs per Death’s orders. When I’m sent as a spy to one of the most treacherous, deceitful places in any realm – the court of the Light Queen – things go awry. Neve captured my soul with just a look from her seductive gaze. She is who I want, who I crave…who I hunger for. But someone has set out to kill her – and expose me. I’ll destroy any man – human or Fae – who brings harm to her, for she is the light my soul can’t risk losing…

Fluttering Thoughts:
Worldbuilding: The world of the Reaper series involves a good portion of the Dark world, focusing on the fae, particularly those serving Death as Reapers. I loved the concept and loved to find out more about them.
Characters: Neve was a sweet, loyal, adorable woman, but I can’t say I found her particularly exciting. Talin was this noble, strong, effective guy and I liked him with Neve. Can’t say I felt a lot of charisma going on here, for some reason, though they had great hot chemistry. Maybe I expected the reapers to be somehow more ruthless or darker in nature or something, I don’t know. Talin in particular was pretty much a knight in shining armor, which is sweet ofc.
Also, my fav, Rhi, made her appearance here too, for which hurrah! I love that chick!
Plot: The romance arc was nice, and there was quite some adrenaline over how things would end in a happy way – which they did, no worries, hehe. I loved the whole reapers vs Bran thing and am curious how things will evolve.
Writing: Third person, past tense narrative, mainly his/her POV, though with some insights from other POVs.
Curb Appeal: Cool cover, though the title was a bit confusing – makes me think it’s a werewolves story or something, when it’s clearly a fae one. The blurb is hooking, but it might make one think it’s a 1st person narrative story, which it isn’t. But it’s an insta-buy author name for me, so effective pitch all in all anyway.
I do recommend the Reaper series if you’re into hot PNR and fae stories, and Dark Alpha’s Demand was great entertainment. If you’re new to the world though, it might be best to start with the first in the series, not the 3rd, like I did, lol. But I am familiar with the world so it worked like a charm for me xD
