Mrs. Dumont (The Dumont Diaries #1-4)
Lust is a dangerous thing. It can make you believe things that are not real. It can seduce your mind and lead it blindfolded to the cliff that will be its demise.
What would you do if you could leave your life? Wake up one day and be someone else?
I signed the contract. I left Candace Tapers and her slutty, strip club life behind, abandoned every part of that life with one hesitant swipe of my pen.
The agreement was clear:
1. Sex
2. Photo ops
3. No romance
“I need a wife. I am not signing up for romance, or affection, or a full time job. I will not love you. I will have no use for you other than sex and photo ops.”
Sex with Nathan was easy. More than easy. Panty-melting, can-never-get-enough HOT. I had begun to think that I could live this new life, showered in luxuries, orgasms, and diamonds.
Then I started tripping over secrets.
Disclaimer: The Dumont Diaries contains a strong alpha male, super hot explicit sex, and twists and turns that might cause unnatural heart palpitations. This book does not contain BDSM elements.
*The Dumont Diaries was originally released, and is still available as a four-part miniseries. This book combines the four pieces of the miniseries into one, full-length novel.

Fluttering Thoughts:
Worldbuilding: This story takes place in Florida and mostly stays within Nathan’s estate.
Characters: The main characters in this story are Candace “Candy” Tapers and Nathan Bane Dumont. Candy hasn’t had the easiest life. Coasting through school with a I-don’t-care-about-grades kind of outlook made her end up with a practically useless degree in a world where no one wanted to hire her. After a year of no bites, maxed out credit cards, and late rent, she becomes desperate. Her regular job just can’t cover the bills and that’s how she ended up at the front doors of the gentleman’s club, Crystal Palace, and put on a path to meet a man who may seem like her salvation but ends up being a wolf who doesn’t take no for an answer. Nathan needs only two things in his life and Candy is the way he’s going to get them. Through manipulation, torment, control, and not to mention sexual depravity, Nathan slowly breaks through Candy’s walls and twists her head and heart in different directions. Can Nathan get what he wants without revealing his ultimate plans to Candy? Or will she find out the secrets he is keeping and throw his plan into a tailspin?
Plot: This was a pretty crazy story! I definitely went in thinking one thing and then all these curve balls were thrown at me, that were pretty eye opening! This is a novel that you really have to go into blind because once you know one secret you’ve got to know them all! But essentially this is a romance between Candace and Nathan even though there are two love triangles, which I know is a hard limit for some people, but if you stick through till the end I promise it will all be worth it!
Writing: This novel was told in first person point of view of Candace. This novel was also originally a four-part miniseries called the Dumont Diaries, that has been combined into a full length novel titled Mrs. Dumont.
Curb Appeal: I love this cover! It’s different than I expected it to be due to the storyline but it’s gorgeous nonetheless. The blurb caught my attention and had me intrigued from the get go. It gives you just a little to be captivated and then when you read the story the characters engross you from page one!
Ultimately: This story was full of twist and turns! It reminded me why I love Alessandra Torre’s writing and how she comes up with stories that not only enthrall you but also titillate and take your breath away! All in all, if you are in the mood for a hero who keeps you guessing until the last second and a heroine who isn’t going to take shit lying down then come check out Mrs. Dumont!!!

The cover is pretty great even if it doesn’t quite match the story. Great review for this!
