From young heartbreak to a virginity auction, from the chance meeting to the happily ever after, twenty-one exclusive stories explore first love in all its forms. This set includes almost 200,000 words of steamy encounters and sweet romance.
Worldbuilding: This story is set in Greece, Third Century BC, 2293 years before the Krinar Invasion.
Characters: The main characters in this short story are Delia and Arus. Arus is a Krinar, an advance race not from this earth. He landed on Earth to observe humans because they intrigue him. But after he stumbles upon Delia, things change. He wants he and will do any and everything he can do to have her. Will he scare her off with his other worldly beauty? Or will his caring nature and technology be enough to make her stay? Delia is at a loss, her life is changing and she doesn’t know if she can stop it. Until she meets Arus, a god like creature with incredible beauty and magical powers. He frightens her as much as he captivates her. Can she look past her apprehensions and give him a chance? Or will fears get the better of her and cause her to lose out and a new and amazing life?
Plot: This was mainly an erotic story with a very slight backstory. Arus wants to whisk Delia away to his home planet and show his race and all the technological advances they have.
Writing: This story is told in third person points of view of Delia and Arus. This is a sort of prequel to the Krinar Chronicles which features another human-Krinar couple.
Curb Appeal: I love this cover! But honestly I don’t think it really represents this story all that well. But I did end up seeing that this short story is published on its own now and I really like that new cover! This blurb doesn’t give anything away! You go into this story blind and read a story that you aren’t expecting!
Ultimately: This was a completely different story than I was anticipating! I really wish that this developed into a full length novel or at least a longer novella length. This story is intriguing and I’m glad I gave it a chance! All in all, if you thinking about picking up this anthology, I wholly recommend this short story!!!
