Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He’ll do anything to remember. She’ll do anything to forget.
Worldbuilding: This story takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. I love that the authors chose this city as the backdrop for this eerie story. Even though there was a snippet of Bourbon St. I wish the setting played a bit more of a bigger role in the story overall.
Characters: The main characters in this novella are Charlie Wynwood and Silas Nash. I hate not to give any more information on these characters but their names, but sorry not sorry! I didn’t feel like I got to know who these characters really were but regardless to give any insight to them would leave me spoiling the whole book!
Plot: This is a super hard story to review, especially because I don’t want to give anything away! This story had a budding romance that was wrapped up in a crazy mystery. I know that there were tons of clues throughout the novella and I am sure that in the end everything will make sense but right now I have more questions than answers!!!
Writing: This novella was told in first person points of view of Charlie and Silas. This is not a standalone but part two and three are published.
Curb Appeal: I liked the cover because it’s pretty different than what I normally see but I’m not completely sure how it relates back to the story. The blurb just gives you nothing but questions! But I understand why it is the way that it is! To give any information would spoil the story!
Ultimately: This was definitely an intriguing premise! I really wish all three novellas were put together in one book because this cliffhanger was pretty killer, so I’m sure it’s safe to assume the next cliffhanger will be just as bad, if not worse. These authors worked really well together and I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, if you are in the mood for a mystery that is going to leave you begging for more then come check out Never Never!!!!
