Spiral of Need (The Mercury Pack #1)
Ally Marshall isn’t just a wolf shifter — she’s a Seer.
But a girl doesn’t exactly need special powers to know that Derren Hudson despises her entire kind. Disdain practically rolls off the Beta of the Mercury Pack . . . disdain mixed with a healthy dose of desire. And no matter how much the ruggedly handsome male appeals to her, this is one call of the wild she’s determined to ignore.
After one betrayal too many, Derren doesn’t have much use for Seers — except for Ally.
Forced into acting as her protector, he finds himself intensely and passionately drawn to the woman who incites his primal instinct to claim.
And when enemies target the pack, Ally’s gift may be just what the Mercury Pack needs.
Can he put his distrust aside, or will he force himself to turn his back on the one woman who makes his inner beast howl?

Fluttering Thoughts:
Worldbuilding: This story takes place mainly on the Mercury Pack’s land.
Characters: The main characters in this novel are Alyssa “Ally” Marshall and Derren Hudson. Ally has had a hard life. Bouncing from pack to pack hasn’t been easy nor has being a seer. And dealing with the Mercury’s Pack Beta, Derren, isn’t any better. But Ally needs to stay safe and the Mercury Pack has agreed to let her stay and give her protection. Unfortunately, Derren has decided to stick to her like glue and their crazy attraction for one another gets harder and harder to ignore. Can Derren overcome his prejudice against seers and give Ally a real chance? Or will Ally’s enemies get to her before he has the chance to make things right?
Plot: This story is a mix of romance and action! There is the romance between Ally and Derren and the suspense from the pack’s enemies.
Writing: This novel is told in third person points of view of Derren and Ally. It is the first novel in the spinoff Mercury Pack series which is related to the Phoenix Pack series.
Curb Appeal: I love this cover! It relates to the story and isn’t something I’ve seen before. The blurb gives great background on the characters but doesn’t give that much away.
Ultimately: This was a fantastic start to a new spinoff series! I loved seeing the old characters and meeting the new ones! I can’t wait to read the next novel! All in all, if you are in the mood for a heroine who is feisty and loyal as well as a hero who wants nothing more than to keep his pack and woman safe, then come check out Spiral of Need!!!!!
