What’s the worst that could happen?
Kaitlyn Parker has no problem being the invisible girl, which is why she finds herself hiding in various cabinets and closets all over her college campus. Despite her best efforts, she can’t escape the notice of Martin Sandeke—bad boy, jerkface bully, and the universe’s hottest, wealthiest, and most unobtainable bachelor—who also happens to be Kaitlyn’s chemistry lab partner.
Kaitlyn might be the only girl who isn’t interested in exploiting his stunning rower’s build, chiseled features, and family’s billionaire fortune. Kaitlyn wants Martin for his brain, specifically to tabulate findings of trace elements in surface water.
When Kaitlyn saves Martin from a nefarious plot, Martin uses the opportunity to push Kaitlyn out of her comfort zone: spring break, one week, house parties, bathing suits, and suntan lotion. Can she overcome her aversion to being noticed? Will he be able grow beyond his self-centered nature? Or, despite their obvious chemistry, will Martin be the one to drive Kaitlyn into the science cabinet of obscurity for good?
Worldbuilding: This story takes place on a private island in the Caribbean during spring break.
Characters: The main characters in this novel are Martin Sandeke and Kaitlyn Parker. Kaitlyn is not your average everyday college girl, she’s smart and would prefer to spend her time studying or reading Lord of the Rings instead of trying to catch a guy. But when she helps the most untouchable bachelor on campus, he wants to repay her in something unexpected; kisses! Allowing herself to get caught up in his magnetism, takes her on a journey she never expected. Being with him makes her crave more from life but is he too good to be true? One week can’t be long enough to fully know a person…can it?
Plot: This is a romance between Martin and Kaitlyn, and it does have some insta -love tendencies in my opinion.
Writing: This novel is written in first person point of view of Kaitlyn. It is the first novel in the three-part series. It is not a standalone and must be read in order.
Curb Appeal: This cover is so different than what is normally out there and it works well with the story! The blurb is so interesting but a little misleading. It definitely made me one-click this novel but I expected a little love/hate relationship or for Martin to be jerk to Kaitlyn but he wasn’t that way at all!
Ultimately: I really loved these characters! Kaitlyn was open and honest with Martin and funny to boot! Their story ends on a pretty killer cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what happens next! All in all, if you are in for a hero who is trying his best to woo the funny and stubborn heroine then come check out Attraction!!!
I couldn't have said that better myself! Reading is huge passion of mine. And I'm glad that books not only expand my world view but that they bring the wonderful people who created them into my life. You can always find me with a book and an eclectic mix of music on. I am a HEA junkie extraordinaire! I am a Beta reader, who loves helping authors bring their characters to life. As well as an avid romance reader (every and anything ;D) turned aspiring author.
