A man who made countless mistakes.
A woman with a messy past.
He’s tasked with helping her find her way.
She’s lost in grief and self-doubt.
Together they begin something innocent…
Until it’s not.
His freedom is at risk.
Her heart won’t survive another break.
All rational thinking says they should stay away from each other.
But neither are very good at following the rules.
A deep, dark craving.
An overwhelming need.
A burn much hotter than any hell
they could ever be condemned to.
He’ll give up everything for her…
because without her, he is nothing.
Warning: If you have triggers with unconventional relationships, please don’t read this story. This is an insta-love novella. Also, please enjoy the extra story at the end.
Worldbuilding: This story takes place in a small town, as well as, in and around a church, Easton’s home, and Lacy’s home.
Characters: The main characters in this novella are Easton McAvoy and Lacy Greenwood. Lacy has had to crawl her way out of hell and the scars that were left behind are barely healing. The one person that might get through to her and help her out is Easton McAvoy. But there are a million reasons why their meetings are a bad idea and something that started out as innocent begins to turn into something scandalous and wicked. Even though their encounters are sinful they also unlock a deep and meaningful connection between the two. Can Lacy and Easton keep their relationship hidden from everyone in their lives? Or will the truth come out and destroy not only their lives but their families as well?
Plot: This a forbidden May/December romance between Easton and Lacy, which means Lacy is a young woman and Easton is an older man.
Writing: This novel is written in first person points of view of Easton and Lacy. It is a standalone novella.
Curb Appeal: I like this cover, it connects to the story and I really like the colors. The blurb is short but gives you what you need to know to understand what’s going on.
Ultimately: This was a short but steamy story that had a lot of heart! I really liked Easton as a hero he was just as emotionally invested in the relationship as Lacy was. All in all, if you are in the mood for a heroine who finally gets her rock to lean on and a hero who just wants to help heal his girl then come check out Easton!!!
