Love struck me at the early age of five. The boy turned into a man, and I fell even deeper. Guy Webb had no idea my fragile heart belonged to him for so many years. He was too busy being my brother’s best friend and a star on the football field. He was my daydream, and consumed every single thought, but he was always one step from my reach.
Beartooth Ranch was our home. The rich ranch land raised us, fostered our laughs, losses, and even gained a new family member when Guy moved in for his sophomore year of high school.
I hid my love for years. But now he’s back. Guy Webb returned a broken soldier after serving his country all over the atlas. And now it’s my job to help him heal.
My family lost everything with his return and I can only hope I survive it.
Worldbuilding: This story takes place at the Beartooth Ranch in Texas.
Characters: The main characters in this story are Molly Marshall and Guy Webb. Molly has been smitten with Guy for as long as she can remember but with him being her brother’s best friend, means he’s off limits. Unfortunately, as she grows older her heart doesn’t listen to reason and she starts to fall in love with the one guy who has always made her feel special. When her brother and Guy enlist in the army her heart bleeds but stays true to her first and only love. Regrettably when he comes home he is a different man. Can Molly convince Guy to take a chance on them and allow Molly to show him how much he means to her? Or will his trials overseas change the love he once held for Molly into something unbearable and tainted?
Plot: This is a romance between Molly and Guy. It is also told as a huge flash back. The story is kind of broken into two different stories, with the main story of Molly and Guy and a smaller side story of their family.
Writing: This novel is told in first person points of view of Molly and Guy, although Molly’s point of view is the most prevalent.
Curb Appeal: I adore this cover! It is gorgeous and completely relates back to the story! The blurb gives a great rundown on their relationship and what to kind of expect as the story unfolds.
Ultimately: This story made me cry a lot! I wasn’t expecting it to be as heartbreaking as it was but it also had just as many heartwarming parts! Guy and Molly were so right for each other and I’m glad they got their happily ever after!! All in all, if you are in the mood for a shattered solider who just needs a little TLC and a heroine who will stop at nothing to help him then come check out Royal Atlas!!!
