When Ellis Earnshaw and Heathan James met as children, they couldn’t have been more different. Ellis was loud and beautiful – all blond hair, bright laughs and smiles. Heathan was dark and brooding, and obsessed with watching things die.
The pair forged an unlikely friendship, unique and strange. Until they were ripped apart by the sick cruelty of others, separated for years, both locked in a perpetual hell.
Eleven years later, Heathan is back for his girl. Back from a place from which he thought there was no return. Back to seek revenge on those who wronged them.
Time has made Heathan’s soul darker, polluted with hatred and the thirst for blood.
Time has made Ellis a shell of her former self, a little girl lost in the vastness of her pain.
As Heathan pulls Ellis out of her mental prison, reviving the essence of who she once was, down the rabbit hole they will go.
With malice in their hearts and vengeance in their veins, they will seek out the ones who hurt and destroyed them.
One at a time.
Each one more deadly than the last.
Dark Contemporary Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and very mature topics. Recommended for ages 18 and over.
Worldbuilding: This story takes place in Dallas, Texas at the Earnshaw Estate.
Characters: The main characters in this novel are Ellis Earnshaw aka Dolly and Heathan James aka Rabbit. Growing up Ellis had the world’s best friend. He was dark, ominous, and the most glorious thing she had ever beheld. But just as suddenly as he was put in her path, he was ripped away. Ripped away by the same men who tore apart not only her innocence but her will to live. The years have not been kind to either Ellis or her very best friend Heathan but that all changes when Heathan escapes the prison he was forced into as a child and makes a vow to rescue and avenge his Dolly. Can Heathan get to Ellis before it’s too late? Or will his years away reveal a girl he no longer knows?
Plot: This is mainly a story of revenge against the people who hurt Heathan and Ellis as well as a romance between the two.
Writing: This novel is written in first person points of view of Heathan and Ellis.
Curb Appeal: This cover is super unique and has the best colors! The blurb gives great background on the characters and what the situation is between Heathan and Ellis.
Ultimately: This was one dark and twisted tale but I loved every minute of it! Heathan was such an amazing hero even though he was warped and wrathful, he was also an avenging angel, just trying to bring his girl some peace. All in all, if you are in the mood for a hero who crosses all the lines to get his girl and a heroine who rises out of her shell like a phoenix then please check out SICK FUX!!!!
