For 14 years, alpha wolf Jason has watched his partially marked mate Cadence live her life without him. Circumstances force his hand and he must find a way to get her to uncover her buried memories of their past before someone else steps up to take her from him.
For as long as she can remember, hybrid wolf Cadence has loved Jason with every fiber of her being, but he’s consistently shoved her away until the love that’s there is bound tightly in anger and shame. No one can take his place in her heart, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t wolves willing to try.
Will Cadence be able to get through Jason’s icy demeanor to the heart of the boy she’s always loved? Can Jason undo the past so they will have a future together?
This book contains red-hot werewolf loving, plenty of neck biting, and misuse of a kitchen counter. The Wolf’s Mate is a book for mature audiences only and contains sexually explicit content.

This is my first R.E. Butler book. I came across one of her FB parties for a new release (from this series, actually) and was told by multiple people to check out her work. So when I won an amazon gift card from the party, I was like Why Not? This story seems so interesting. A broken love, mystery, mayhem.

While I did not like the format the book was written in (It was actually kind of confusing to me) and the writing style not exactly my favorite, I will admit that the idea and the characters were wonderful. And I love how I got to get into both of the main character`s heads. I found myself crying and laughing a few times.

If a book makes you emotional, its a keeper! While I wish that it would have went more in depth with the pack and stuff, explaining their ways and maybe if there were more supernatural characters, it did focus a lot on the relationships, which I felt was a pretty good trade.

I do look forward to reading more in the series. I really got absorbed into the story, despite my slight problems mentioned above. If your a werewolf and/or lost love fanatic, I totally recommend this for you.

I’m glad you were able to enjoy the characters and plot enough to keep you interested in the story and even enjoyed that aspect of the book but i am a bit sad you weren’t a fan of the writing of the book and found it a bit confusing *sigh* I hate when that happens!
